The other odd thing about 5th Ave./53rd St. station is that the two levels of it had different color tile stripes, I think from the start. Green on one level and red (or maybe purple) on the other? Was any other station like that? I don't think so.And of course it is featured on the cover of Simon and Garfunkel's first album. |
