Thank you for the info. about water table height. Does the IRT under Nostrand Ave. between Newkirk and the terminal still have water problems? When I rode the line to Flatbush during the late 1960s, the train took it very slowly between Newkirk and the terminal. IIRC there was water along the roadbed, the tracks were above it, and the T/O took it very slowly into the terminal at Flatbush Ave. |
