On second thought, the roofs are rounded on the R42/32.But forever reason these cars are not allowed in the Montague. Maybe there is some kind of other place on the car sides that does not clear. Certainly the R1/9's do not have rounded roofs. All I know is that a bulletin came out a few years ago. City Hall Dispatcher is responsible that this directive is enforced. Us retirees and actives don't ask questions because transit has a military structure. All we were told was the lighting hits the roofs of the cars. |
