My contribution is shown here. It is a ghostly view of the north end of the RRB Woodhaven station seen from my back window when I lived at 91-41-98th St in the early 80s. The locals that live there miss the service big time. It was the fastest way to get to Manhattan from that area. The Green bus was such a schlepp & the once open Woodhaven LIRR sta on the Atlantic Ave branch left you off in downtown Brooklyn. Then trek for a subway.They said that the last fare charged from there to Penn was 50 cents one way. Those were the days indeed!  |
