Posted by TransitChuckG on Sun Jun 23 03:46:58 2019 My friends are riding #20 , they got on at BHM. Well before Atlanta, GA., the train stopped for mechanical issues, after 30 minutes they were rolling, again. Sometime during this early AM, today, they switched the engines around. #2 engine became #1 engine. That cost them more time but they are now making good progress in North Carolina. Hopefully, no more delays.....Those Amtrak diesels are tired, I saw where new ones are on the way. New engines-diesel |
