Sorry to revive a dead thread, but during my recent trip to London, I rode the tube frequently (and DLR, and Overground) and paid exclusively using an Apple Watch. I did not buy an Oyster or anything like that. It was much better than in Paris where I bought a mag-stripe ticket and had to pull it out of my wallet every time. And I had to buy separate tickets for RER trips outside the city zone (Versailles and CDG).So I look forward to contactless payment. |
