Do you know that for a fact ?Why do you think the commercial enterprise know as the Pennsylvania Railroad chose the existing alignment? Answer, because it was the cheapest and simplest to exacute based on the technology of that era. And what about a new DEIS that I told you about that will put this off even more years ? If it were practical for a straight alignment, they'd have done it. The environmental impact statement costs are peanuts compared to construction costs. Much of what is in the existing statement would be applicable to the existing alignment upgrade statement. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
