It's not a bad analogy. Even Justice Scalia in Heller wrote that there can be many restrictions on gun ownership.

And I don't deny that eating can constitutionally be banned on the subway - I'm just saying it's a complicated issue. I mean politically and in terms of fairness, not in terms of law.
