According to one of the roll sign books published by GoodTimes LLC, they only had the terminals and routes for "A", "AA", "BB", plus those connected with Rockaway Shuttle service, pre-"HH" designated.

Interesting, back in the late 80's when the R-16's were being scrapped, I noticed that most R-16 route signs were eastern division (10, 13, 14, 15, 16) plus (RR) & (QJ). I have an front route sign that has route 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 10,13, 14, 15 & 16.
