The North River tunnels were designed and built by the PRR 115 years ago.If you are talking about Gateway Tunnels, they will have much taller clearances. A new subsidiary of the Port Authority will be the lead agency, with participation by Amtrak and NJT. I don't know why you are blaming NYC and NYS for this. |
