I rode those Q cars on the OL Myrtle ave el... Saw the Third avenue El,never got to ride though. Rode the Standard on the Canarsie line...and of course,the R1/9s on the lines they were on at the time. Yeah...and just about all the post war cars after that. What stands out the most,is my very First ride. It was on a R10,from 42nd st to 125th where we lived the first few months before moving to the Boro Of Churches. Never forgot it...so damn fast and noisey. |
