When I recently lost my Amex in Jamaica, NY, they fedexed the replacement.I would rather not. Those things you describe are trivial to fix and cost less than $5. I have more than one credit card. So during those few days, I used a different one. Every single one of those things you described are synced/backed up. I would lose hundreds of dollars replacing the phone, but I would not lose a single piece of important data. Regardless, my point stands about taking my phone out at the turnstile not increasing the chance of theft by any useful measure. Finally, I wouldn't take out my phone at all; I have a smartwatch. |
