The way I understood it is that they broadcast a VERY weak signal and thus use minimal power. Which may still be true. But you are saying that they only broadcast that very weak signal when *prompted*. Makes sense. That's why I mentioned it as a possibility in my original post. It was somewhere in my brain. |
