I read/heard about tours that went to these locations. On my list is to visit the original side platforms at Brooklyn Bridge. The south end of the downtown platform is accessible but off limits, however, someone in the tower let me walk back there years ago.In 1970 I rode the Bowling Green S. Ferry shuttle - was on the innner platform while in service. re: "We didn't tour City Hall - Giuliani was in office... and... was too concerned about security" - Parenoia the destoryer! - Ray Davies |
