How many trains per hour through each tunnel did they operate ?They operated 29 tph through Montague St in 1954 and 30 tph in 1949. The corresponding figures for 60th St are before the 11th St Cut became operational. They ran 18 and 19 tph from Astoria. If it's assumed that that Astoria service was not reduced, then the service level would have been 29 tph immediately after BMT service from Forest Hills was introduced. How much degradation to capacity did eliminating key-by do ? None. |
