You do understand "not invented here", right. Despite the fact that MTA in theory is a single political entity, the stupid turf competition persists. Taxpaying residents (citizens or not they all pay sales taxes and via rent real estyate taxes) do not give a damn what colors the trains/buses are painted or what the initials NYCT, Mabstoa etc stand for. All they want is top get from A to B in a reasonable time. In my dreams, the Metrocard would be good for ALL service within the 5 boros no step up or surcharge over "subway fare". |
