FWIW, the era of paying for checked baggage has to a certain extent cut down on people carrying multiple large suitcases, and most of those people tend to use car services, taxis, and kiss & fly.

Using the Astoria line would be better for one simple reason is that B division cars are bigger

That's why London Underground sent Tube stock to Heathrow Airport... :-)
