In case anyone gets any ideas, just because the line has no overnight revenue service doesn't necessarily mean that no equipment or work trains use it-- walking there along the tracks is very risky at any time, and it is, after all, a straightaway where maximum speeds are quite high. I'll settle for the few glimpses I've had from the front car of an M-3.
