The Orion Kid's philosophy of life seems to be the law of the jungle. Public spaces, including subway cars, belong to the biggest, meanest, loudest and most intimidating. Question the fairness of this and you pay-- often with a beat-down.Or, at the very least, you're met with: "Don't like my behavior, conduct or offensive language? Get off MY subway." The social contract in a civilized society says we share public spaces, including subways, in a way that's respectful to all. I guess jungles have different rules... |
