Reread page 179 of "Over & Back". It said that service, begun in 1908, only lasted a few years. All ferry service- and service on the Broadway Ferry Spur- ended on July 3rd, 1916. In 1921, there was talk of bringing back ferry service between East 23rd Street and Grand Street, under municipal ownership. That never materialized! |
