According to the reports I heard, there were 1,000 or so on the derailed train. I would assume that an equal number were on the E train that ended up in the power off area. Reports of that type early on are notoriously unreliable anyway. I did here Tom Prendergast call this a "minor derailment". Things must have gotten much worse in the last 3 years because 6 cars on the ground would never have been called a minor incident back then. |
