Amtrak only put PTC on its high speed system, not rest of railroad.Metro North has been installing PTC for 5 years now with a completion date around end of 2015. its not just plug and play, besides the M-8's who were ordered with ACSES over 550 cars and engines need to be modified with ACSES system. Entire signal system needs to be rewired and rezoned. |
