I think the motormen didn't get uniforms until the late 80s, as I have seen a number of photos of motormen running trains in the mid to late 80s still wearing street clothes.Now, the TA covers your uniforms at no charge to the employee except in the event of getting uniform garments outside of the times of your normal allotment, to which then you can get charged the costs for uniforms, unless the uniform policies have changed in the almost 10 years since I been gone from the TA. |
