Use of the safety vests as parking permits is not official and a car with one in the window can still be ticketed if illegally parked. AFAIK, the only thing that would make a clothing item specifically an MTA uniform is the presence of an official MTA patch on the item otherwise just a plain light blue shirt and dark blue trousers does not a uniform make. |
