Posted by Edwards! on Mon Oct 7 16:34:02 2013, in response to Re: The IND's 1st 13 Months (1932-1933) [A Timeline], posted by randyo on Mon Oct 7 15:56:13 2013. right..the IND was "finished" using those funds when the city claimed it could not complete the routes on its own.Due to the horrors of WW2..most of the planned extensions were out right deferred...and or even cancelled.. such was the fate of the Van Wyck Blvd subway..the Roosevelt upper level..the Pitkin avenue subway[both IRT and IND sections]the Utica avenue subway..and the most infamous of all,Second avenue trunk system. |
