All true but keep in mind which cars are going to be replaced. Also since inspections are based on unit revenue miles, a fleet of 75 foot cars accumulates less total miles than an equivalent fleet of 6o' cars. Aside from the savings in the initial purchase cost, there are considerable savings in maintenance for 75' cars vs 60' cars. |
