Supposedly, one R-10 train was put into service quickly on just one trip on the JFK Express, and that I believe was mentioned inside the brochure printed for and distributed along the 10/29/1989 fan trip. Also, I can attest as an eyewitness that I had seen one train of them in service on the Aqueduct Race Track Special, with car #3348 as the north end rear motor of the train way back (circa 1980 or so) downstairs in the lower level of 42nd Street-8th Avenue.The R-44's also operated on the JFK Express to/from 21st Street-Queensbridge. -William A.
