There's a HUGE fight over the future of the building which used to be Niedersteins. The owners want to demolish it and rent the space to a fast food chain. Preservationists want to have it declared a landmark.

BTW, anyone remember the name of the German resturaunt on Jamaica Ave, near Lefferts?
