The 15 never ran past Broad st...sort of...Its funny the way the switch worked out. The QJ somewhat replaced the 15...during the weekdays...while the JJ ran at night/weekends[covering the QJ]..During the weekday rush hour..the JJ operated as the 14's replacement....or as the Broadway Brooklyn Local/Jamaica skip stop...in the AM... Trains also ran from Canal st to Rockaway Pky in the PM rush...while the RJ ran to Jamaica... July 1968,all that changed.... The KK replaced the JJ in Brooklyn/Queens during the rush hour..QJ during the evening nights weekends. The RJ was replaced by the QJ/RR NASSAU ST Specials services... It seemed like while the TA had good intentions...there were too man lines on BWAY....mixed with very poor planning. |
