I can't understand how people can sit around in a room and decide not to buy something off the shelf from MPI, or something new from an established builder like EMD or GE, but then pounce on an unproven offering from a maker of mining equipment and trolleys.So you want trains to be made in America, but you don't want "unproven" designs. So who is going to make your commuter rail multiple unit or push-pull, metro, and Stadtbahn rolling stock when GE hasn't made one in four decades, and EMD and MPI have no experience at all? Somebody is going to have to be tne "unproven" builder getting their first shot. |
