If I recall, there were 4 trains at a time that ran on the F during one of the Manny B shutdowns. The reason was that they were assigned to CIY and withy the uptown portion of the D being isolated from the rest of the line, the Bkln portion of the D didn't have a sufficiently long span of true high speed express operation since there was also work being done on the Brighton Line at the time. The newly delivered R-68s were sent to the F Line to test them on the high speed express run in Queens. |
