I'm not quite pushing 80, but I rode Fulton from Atlantic to Lefferts in the late winter of 1956 just prior to the outer portion being turned over to the IND. It was on a Sunday and there was a single track operation in effect from Grant to Lefferts on K2 track. Mainline trains turned at Grant and a single track shuttle operated to Lefferts. It was also the first time I rode Myrtle which still operated BUs at the time. I also had the good fortune to have ridden the 3 Av El all the way from South Ferry to Gun Hill Rd just before the So/Fy portion was demolished. After I became a M/M in 1968 I operated Qs on Myrtle and R-10s on the outer portion of the Fulton St el to Lefferts. Another of the Bkln els that operated free standing until 1932 when it became a part of the BMT subway is the Culver Line the main portion of which still exists between Ditmas and Stillwell and let's not forger the Franklin shuttle which although heavily rebuilt besides the outer portion of Fulton is the last remaining portion of the Fulton St el that once connected to the Brighton Line. By the way, the existing portion of Myrtle is now back to the way it properly was prior to through routing of M service to the Southern Division and that is railroad SOUTH of Bway Myrtle especially since M trains are now northbound leaving Met like they originally were.
