With metrocard discounts, the average ride is cheaper. Unlimiteds make it cheaper, and also, the $10 cards where you get 6 rides give you a ride for $1.67 per ride. Considering that in the mid 90's the fare was a straight $1.50, the fare today is only in theory 17 cents more than a decade ago. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me. |
