The perp was a Muslim. One thinks not a very good Muslim, but that is not for LION to decide, Allah will decide. He said "Peace be With You".He did say it in Arabic, but even the Mosques in New York use English. The Imam told me that that there are far more Muslims in New York than there are Arabs. Still the correct response would have been "And Upon You Peace", and that would have been the end of it. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all greet one another with "Peace". That should have been sufficient. If someone greets you with "Peace" how hard is it to return his peace. Methinks the perp was trying to pick a fight, and him got it. LION does not know any Arabic, but him does know peace when he sees it. ROAR |
