The MTA with the building and opening of the new South Ferry terminal, defined the old South Ferry loop station as dangerous and obsolete, so it is going to be difficult for a court to order the MTA to re-open a dangerous station. If the gap fillers are not working or the signals are damaged then the MTA is not going to take the time or effort or money to repair them, let alone to restore the upper level turnstyles and electronic equipment. Much of the electronic equipment within the South Ferry station has been damaged.Mike |
