The red is technically the nicest scheme. They looked the best of their lives just before they were retired. I totally agree, but I am nostalgic to the other scheme, just because of all the happy times I remember on them in that grafitti "scheme".I had plenty of happy times too on the reds, and of course the R42's as they are now....but for some reason, the other photos bring back SO many memories. And the last photo with Knickerbocker Ave!! What a hellhole all the M's stations were. I remember it like it was yesterday going through there everyday, and Knickerbocker was greay trim with light blue windscreens, although you could barely tell because of a decade+'s worth of grafitti.
