Particularly the sole intact gated one at Metropolitan Ave. The other stairs were removed shortly after service ended. This particular stairway was not locked properly. The mezzanine was trashed. Initially we went up to the platform just to look around, but we then started daring each other to do more and more, until we were walking down the catwalk to Queens Blvd. I was scared shitless crossing over the Van Wyck. Thankfully it was nighttime. |
