The connection to the Jamaica Ave El was actually completed in mid 1987, and the crossover east of 121st St was installed in Novermber, 1987.J trains were using that ramp for storage until the Jamaica Center/Archer Avenue station opened one year later. I remember it being used earlier than that, though your general dating is correct. Trains were being stored on the ramp by this time and they opened both platforms at 121st St. |
