The brochure cover showing a D train reinforces my happiness with the return of the four route names: Brighton, Culver, Sea Beach and West End. For a while, I believe, these names were missing from the trains and the platforms. Someone living in Midwood might recall that his line was the D, but now discover that it brings him to Bensonhurst. Wasn't Culver D when the Independent took over the McDonald El? At least the four route names will stay in place, even if a T, TT, TB or QB gets mixed in. (Okay, there wasn't a TB, but TT means Toilet Tissue.) |
