I think you missed a couple of stages. The JJ, RJ, NX, etc. lasted for a little while after Chrystie St. At one point, 4 lines called 168 St-Jamaica a terminal. As for QJ, it lasted until '76 or '77, when the big shakeup which got rid of the EE, shifted the M to Coney Island via Brighton, and the N to 71-Continental, happened. I believe that's when they also got rid of the last of the R-9's.
