Most commentators always bring up the Triplexes as representative car of the BMT. The Triplexes certainly were unique cars but for most of there operational life they ran on only one line whereas the Standards ran throughout Brooklyn. The Standards represented a whole "family" of equipment. Their southern cousins were the Broad Street Standards and their country cousins were Staten Island's ME-1's. It will be nice to see 2390-1-2 back in service some day. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
