I believe they were undergoing a shakedown period out there. They were really new. Ultimately they went to Jamaica and were replaced out east by the 4800 and 4900 series R42s. The pair I rode (4300-01) was renumbered (as were all the R40Ms) and involved in an accident the following year at Roosevelt Avenue. 4292-3 were at the other end.wayne |
