It doesn't have to be limited to one supplier. Up to the R-40s propulsion equipment was split between WH and GE and door controls were divided up among various suppliers such as National Pneumatic, Consolidated, Vapor and Midland Ross and all the cars from R-10s up to the R-42s were fully capable of operating in the same train and often did. |
