(Apart from concrete ties and CWR,high platforms and fewer freight sidings,not too much different about the NEC from 56 years ago,eh?)And therein lies the problem. Tens of thousands of commuters a day are forced to ride on an obsolete railroad singularly unsuited to the volume now using it. |
