The "brown diamond" R signs were never supposed to be used for the Ctl- Whl service but only for the 95 St - Chambers via Nassau service even though R-46s weren't allowed up Nassau. Since the R to either Whl or Canal was not an actual separate route as was the Nassau service, but merely a short turn, there was no diamond sign to be used. |
