The signs that lacked the "6th Ave" subscript were brand new. The R-9s had "B/6th Ave Exp" signs as originally delivered so they were good to go as soon as Chrystie opened ad was the case with the R-9s on the D. Some R-9s received "B/Via 6th Ave" side signs as did some of the R-32s. Most of the R-32, however had cheesy white on black decals paste over the "BB" readings. That's another example of the incompetent planing in the TA. "C/8 Ave Exp" signs were included on the side signs of the R-27s through 38s, yet the "B/6 Ave Exp" which was intended to be operated, was not included. |
