Actually the fact that fare counts stayed the same while every other station around it went up double digits is very telling. People that used to walk or take the bus to Wyckoff for the L train are now getting on at their local M station instead to take the M train instead of the L. All those people now getting on at their local M station instead of going to Myrtle-Wyckoff for the L train directly, offset the increase of people using the M station at Wyckoff. As I mentioned, I used to live in the Forest Ave are and often walked to Wyckoff Ave to make what would have been a three train commute to a two train commute.
