Hate to burst your bubble, but the guys on Trainorders.com say the Montreal AMT had 3 in service, 1 derailed in a tunnel, and CNR banned them from operation.As for NJT, scuttlebut I heard from someone who is very reliable says due to dynamic oscillation forces, Amtrak will not allow them to go at any sufficient speed, and in electric mode, can only handle 6 MLV cars. I have no idea if any of that is remedial. |
