The subsystem that are shared between the A and B cars in the existing fleet mostly remain shared between the 7k A and B cars. Or to put more simply, they all for all practical purposes an A B cars with 2 C cars sandwiched between. If they were A-B+B-A sets then they could be run in 6 car consists.
