The windows are bigger, and instead of anti-purse stealing bars there's glass. It is definitely nicer.The windows are smaller compared to the cars in the existing fleet, that's because the end doors are closer to the center of the car. WMATA's cars have always had the panel at the doors. Though various seating reconfiguration have eliminated some to increase standing capacity. These cars will not have the panels on the left side of the center door. The 6k cars only had them on the right side of the center doors. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
